There are some things that are not part of the world of the living; questions that should never be answered, places that should never be discovered. But there will always be fools who will try to. And those who do, suffer a fate worse than death. Worse than any torture ever conceived in the dark corners of the human mind.

I’ve felt so listless, restless. Testing the waters for life and trying so hard to stay alive.
The darkness (my sea), and this galaxy, and my dreams share a wondrous feeling of emptiness.
I’ve been tethered to my star by a thread (now dead) burned to ashes by her heat.

I've read all of the books you've mentioned in your Artist's Comments, so I can understand where you are coming from.
It's pretty intriguing... that you call it a 'Winning' garden. I feel as if that has many interpretations, if you get what I mean. The phrasing is lovely and the direction you've gone in is certainly thought-provoking.
